CLARION TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) — Clarion-based State Police report a two-vehicle crash occurred on August 18 around 2:16 p.m. on I-80 near Waterson Road in Clarion Township, Clarion County.

According to police, the incident occurred as the passenger side tire on the number two axle on a 2007 Freightliner blew as the vehicle was traveling west-bound on I-80.

Police say the tire came off of the Freightliner and struck a 2013 Chrysler Town and Country that was following behind the tractor trailer.

The operator of the Freightliner pulled off the right side of the roadway, while the driver of the Town and Country continued to the next exit where they called and reported the crash to police.

No injuries were reported by police.

The names of the drivers were not released.
