Gordon W. Lackey, age 83, of Tionesta, PA, died on Friday, August 22, 2014 at his home in Tionesta. He was born August 11, 1931 in Tionesta, son of the late Lawrence F. and Freda (Albaugh) Lackey.

He retired from Cyclops of Titusville, PA after working 39 years. He was a member of the VFW in Tidioute, PA, and the Polish National Allegiance, also of Titusville. Gordon attended the Tionesta Church of God and enjoyed gardening and working in the yard around the house.

On July 30, 1956 he married Lois M. (Taylor) Lackey at the Tionesta Church of God. Lois survives in Tionesta.
Also surviving in addition to his wife are three daughters, Joyce A. Lackey and her significant other Chuck Yahner of Erie, PA; Janice M. Chappel and her husband David of Crimora, VA; Judy Beth Nellon and her husband Mose of Miami, Florida. A special daughter, Patti N. Lucas and her husband Rick of Kentucky. Three grandsons, Elliot W. Chappel Richmond, VA, Jonas L. Chappel of Tionesta, and Joel K. Blum of Kentucky. A granddaughter, Brianna R. Nellon of Miami, Florida. A great-granddaughter, Ivy C. Blum, of Chambersburg, PA.

A brother, Lawrence J. Lackey and his wife Marilyn of Erie. A sister, Alberta Eggleston of Michigan. Several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Gordon was preceded in death by two brothers, Willard and Gerald Lackey. Five sisters, Leota Ashley, Helen Reynolds, Jean Mangine, Marilyn Shoup, and Shirley in infancy.

Friends will be received at the Norman J. Wimer Funeral Home on Monday from 2-4 and 6-8. Celebration of Life Services will be held on Tuesday, August 26, 2014 at the Tionesta Church of God, at 11 am, with Pastor Terry E. McGarrity officiating. Burial at Mt. Collins Cemetery in Tionesta.
