Geraldine I. Ruth Strotman, 73, of Millerstown passed away August 22, 2014.

Born on February 2, 1941 at home in Ashland Township she was the daughter of Clarence and Gladys O’neil Ruth.

She attended Shippenville Schools.

On September 1, 1956 she was married to Gale M. Strotman who preceded her in death on April 30, 2000.

She was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family. She also enjoyed bingo, Blue Grass music and spending time with her dog Dexter.

Geraldine is survived by: a son Tom Strotman and companion Lori of Shippenville, a daughter Kathy Kroh and fiancee Jerry Hartzell of Venus, a daughter Joyce Prakash of CO, and a son Gale Strotman Jr. of Shippenville, Grandchildren surviving include: Rhonda Bechtel and children of Oil City, Scott Rex of Knox, Stephanie Rex of Knox, Daniel Kroh of Sligo, Erin Fredrick and husband Joshua of Tylersburg, Amber Beichner of Shippenville, Jyoshni Prakash of CO, David Healy of Shippenville, Sage Strotman of Shippenville, and Seth Strotman of Shippenville. Also surviving are great-grandsons Jack Kroh, Logan Rex, Cadin Rex, Koltn Rex and a great-granddaughters Lailah Rex and Abigale Strotman. Siblings surviving include: Ruby Miller of NY, Arthur Ruth of TX, Barb Whitmore of FL, Terry Ruth of Knox, Howard Ruth and wife Sandy of Knox, Nancy Myers and Case of Rimersburg, Susan Heller and husband Larry of Brookville, and Patty Shostall and Greg of Franklin. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

She was preceded by her husband Gale, a son David, and a brother Harold.

Friends will be received on Monday, August 25, 2014 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm at Faller Funeral Home, Inc in Fryburg.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 am on Tuesday, August 26, 2014 at Faller Funeral Home, Inc. in Fryburg with Rev. Calvin Cook Pastor of Pine City United Methodist Church officiating.

Interment will be in the Perry Chapel Cemetery following the service.
