Clyde DeWoodyrie McMullan ¬¿_ Ul Clyde E. DeWoody, 85 of Franklin formerly of Reno passed away early Tuesday morning August 26, 2014 at UPMC Hamot in Erie.

Born January 27, 1929 in Franklin, he was a son of the late Clair and Ruth DeWoody.

Clyde attended Franklin High School.

He worked as a machine operator for over 30 years at Franklin Steel.

Clyde proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was a qualified Army Sharp Shooter.

He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers and Nascar fan and he especially liked Dale Earnhardt Jr. & Dale Earnhardt Sr. He also enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, snowmobiling, and four wheeling.

On February 16, 1969 he married Ruth DeWoody and she preceded him in death on October 15, 2012 after 42 years of marriage.

Surviving are two sons; Gene DeWoody and his wife Billie and Dennis DeWoody; a daughter-in-law Marie DeWoody; a step son Edmund Ramage Jr.; seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; numerous nephews and great friends Ted & Anita Wolbert, and others too numerous to mention, shared many laughs and good times throughout his life. He will be dearly missed by all.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a son; Keith DeWoody; a brother, Verne DeWoody; and a stepson, Sy Ramage.

Family and friends welcome Friday from 11:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M. at Huff Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc. 312 W. Park St. Franklin.

Funeral services will follow at 1:00 P.M. Friday in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Karen Kostur, Pastor of Reno United Methodist Church, officiating.

The V.E.T.S. Honor Guard will render military honors at the funeral home.

Interment will follow at Sunset Hill Memorial Gardens.
