Thumbnail (1)Mary Crisman, 88, of Franklin, passed away on Thursday evening, August 28th, at UPMC NW in Seneca.

Born August 31, 1925 in Bethlehem, PA, Mary was the daughter of the late Eli and Helen Sipas Suznovich. She married Forrest L. Crisman April 6, 1946, and he preceded her in death on November 16, 2010.

Mary was a member of the Franklin Church of the Nazarene. She enjoyed reading, traveling, crafts and especially cherished the times she spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Mary is survived by her son, Dale E. Crisman and his wife, Beverly, of Pikeville, KY; her daughter, Susan Cox of Franklin; her 3 grandchildren, Kimberly Crisman of Pikeville, KY, Larry Dunlap and his wife, Tara, of Erie, and Travis Cox and his fiancee’, Amanda, of La Plato, MD; and her 7 great-grandchildren, Ashley King of Franklin, Kaelan Miller of Erie, Nathanie and Calista Dunlap of Georgia, Ryan and Samuel Dunlap of Erie, and Jordan Crisman of Pikeville, KY. She is also survived by her 3 brothers, Raymond Suznovich and his wife, Judy, of Yardley, PA, and Steve Suznovich, and Daniel Suzvnovich and his wife, Patricia, all of New Brunswick, NJ; and her 3 sisters, Rose Redmond and her husband, Silas, of Waynesville, Missouri, Susan Channel of Franklin Park, NJ, and Catherine McGugan of Beverly Hills, FL.

In addition to her parents and husband, Mary was preceded in death by her 2 brothers, George and Paul Suznovich; and her sister, Helen Whalen.

Family and friends will be received at the Gardinier Funeral Home, Inc., 1315 Chestnut Street, Franklin on Monday, September 1st from 3 to 7 p.m. Funeral Services for Mary will be held at the Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 2nd at 2 p.m. with Pastor David Smith, pastor of the Franklin Church of the Nazarene, officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Hill Memorial Garden.

The family suggests that memorial contributions may be made in Mary’s memory to the Franklin Church of the Nazarene.
