Owners Kate and Mike Hall voluntarily closed the winery over the Labor Day weekend as they are preparing to install the tanks to meet PLCB requirements.
Kate Hall told exploreClarion.com, “I value my customers more than anything….My customers have become my friends. I sincerely hope that this temporary closure has not inconvenienced anyone.”
The tanks were delivered last week, and the winery is in the process of installing them; if all goes as planned, they will be making wine on the premises this week.
According to Hall, the winery should be open by next weekend.
When the winery reopens, the newly installed equipment will be on display, and tours will be available to the public.
The winery opened in June of 2012 with the assistance of The Progress Fund, a Greensburg-based foundation that helps start-ups get off the ground.
