Dorothy L. Evans, 80, of Rimersburg, died on September 1, 2014 at the Dubois Regional Medical Center in Dubois.

Born on September 19, 1933 in Climax; she was the daughter of Anderson M. and Grace B. Lucas Emahizer.

Dorothy was married to James M. Evans and he survives. They just celebrated their 47th anniversary.

She was a homemaker and was a member of the Carwick Wesleyan Church in Rimersburg.

In addition to her husband, Jim, she is survived by two sons, Ken Best and his wife, Debra, of Rimersburg, and Thomas Best and his wife, Valerie, of Rimersburg; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Also surviving is a brother, Ernest Emahizer and his wife, Lois, of Boyers.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, George Emahizer; and a sister, Viola Guntrum.

Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, September 4, 2014, at the Burns Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc., 434 Main Street, Rimersburg.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, September 5, 2014, in the funeral home with Rev. Gary Guntrum, pastor of the Carwick Wesleyan Church, officiating.

Interment will be held in the Rimersburg Cemetery.
