raymond-aites-obituaryRaymond Lee Aites, 65, of 182 East State Road, Seneca, died at 6:10 am, Sunday, August 31, 2014, at UPMC Montefiore in Pittsburgh.

Born February 4, 1949 in Oil City, he was a son of the late Theodore Aites, Sr. and Betty Monks Aites.

Mr. Aites had worked at Great lakes Armor and Baker Transportation. He also helped to build the nail less house at the entrance to Hasson Park.

On March 7, 1986 he married the former Rosella Marie “Rose” Glass, who survives.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Fred Tenorio and wife Kathy, and Timothy Tenorio, all of West Virginia; five grandchildren; one great grandson; two brothers, Ronald Aites of Franklin and William Aites of Oil City; and one sister, Sandy Norcross of Florida

Also surviving are his mother-in-law, Jean McCurry and husband Dave of Oil City; one brother-in-law, Jerry Delp, Sr. and wife Darlyne of North Carolina; five sisters-in-law, Sandra Glass of Oil City, Wanda Shields and husband Dennis of Titusville, Connie Alex and husband Henry of South Carolina, Tina Gahring and husband Merle of Oil City and Jenny Gammello of Oil City; and his loving dog, Peanut.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Theodore Aites, Jr. and Robert Aites; and a brother-in-law, Tim Gammello.

Friends may call at the Morrison Funeral Home on Thursday, September 4th, from 4 to 8 pm.

Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 8 pm Thursday with the Rev. Larry Williams, officiating.
