RICHLAND TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) — Clarion-based State Police say a hit-and-run crash occurred on September 1 at approximately 4:30 p.m. near mile marker 48 on Interstate 80 East, in Richland Township, Clarion County.

According to police, the crash occurred as Amanda R. Connolly, 25, of Ulysses, was stopped in the left lane of I-80 for construction backlog in a 2012 Chevrolet Impala.

As Connolly was stopped, an unknown driver in a 2013 Toyota Sienna approached her vehicle from behind.

Police say the driver impacted the rear of Connolly’s vehicle, then the vehicle fled the scene without stopping.

Connolly was wearing a seat belt and suffered minor injuries in the collision.

The investigation is ongoing, police say.

Anyone with information about the unknown driver is asked to contact PSP Clarion at 814-226-1710.
