Valjean L. Bobbert Hepner

OI791128676_valhelpner001Valjean L. Bobbert Hepner, 89, of Perry Twp., Parker, Pa., a dedicated servant of Jesus Christ, went to be with her Lord and Savior late Thursday evening (09-04-14) at Clarview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Sligo following an illness.

Born in Perry Twp., Clarion Co. on May 31, 1925, she was daughter of the late Lindsay and Orpha May Gallagher Kriebel.
Valjean was first married to Clyde Bobbert who passed away in 1953.  She later married Earle N. Hepner in 1958, and who passed away May 8, 2006.
She was among  first cafeteria cooks at the former Perry Twp. Elem. School, which is now the Park Hill Church of God.
A lifelong member of the Church of God faith, she worshipped at Dutch Hill, churches in Ohio, and finally returned to Park Hill at West Freedom.  She was long active with the Women of the Church of God as both a member and many-time officer.  She was well respected as a Sunday School teacher and loved to be involved with summer bible school.
Surviving are a daughter, Sylvia Bobbert LeVier of Blasdell, NY; two sons and wives, Billy and Lisa Bobbert of Perry Twp., Parker and Scott and Kathy Hepner of New Albany, Ohio. Four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren as well as several step-grand and great-grandchildren survive.  Three sisters survive:  Betty Hawthorne, Pauline Slaughenhoupt, and Poppy Myers, all of Parker as well as well as three brothers:  Floyd (Hod) Kriebel and Claude (Jaunita) Kriebel of Parker and Jack (Shirley) Kriebel of Grove City.  Many nieces and nephews, whom she loved dearly, also survive.
In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Billy Bobbert, Jr., a son-in-law, Milton LeVier, and a brother Donald Kriebel.
Visitation Sunday, Sept. 7th from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at H. Jack Buzard Funeral Home, 201 So. Wayne Ave., Parker.  Additional visitation from 10-11:00 AM Monday at Park Hill Church of God, Lime Plant Rd., West Freedom (Parker), where services will be conducted at 11:00 AM with Pastor Eric Mitchell, church pastor, officiating.  Interment at convenience of family at Perryville Cemetery.
