Paul Andrew Porterfield, 37, of Oil City, died Friday, September 5, 2014, at his home.

Born December 16, 1976 in Oil City, he was a son of James and Abbie Beary Porterfield.

Paul graduated from Oil City High School in 1995.

He worked at Franklin Steel, Reno Plastics and Hanna Transfer.

Paul belonged to the Boy Scouts in Dempseytown and achieved Eagle Scout, and the Oil City Moose.

He was a member of St. Stephen Church.

Surviving is his parents, Jim and Abbie Porterfield of Oil City; two sisters, Pam Ackaoui of Pittsburgh, and Sarah Waller of East Springfield; two brothers, David Porterfield and Matthew Porterfield, both of Oil City; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Morrison Funeral Home on Monday from 5 to 8 pm.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am Tuesday in St. Stephen Church with the Rev. Matthew Ruyechan, pastor, presiding.

Interment will be in Lamey Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Second Century Fund at St. Stephen Church.
