Medical Helicopter Called to Route 66 Head-on Crash

PAINT TWP., Pa. (EYT) – Emergency crews were dispatched to the scene of a two-vehicle head-on collision along Route 66 Saturday evening.

According to Clarion County 911, the crash was reported around 8:21 p.m. on Paint Boulevard (Route 66) near the road’s intersection with Doe Run Road.

STAT MedEvac was requested to transport at least one patient to an unknown hospital for treatment of injuries suffered in the crash.

Clarion-based State Police, Shippenville Elk VFD, Clarion Hospital Ambulance, Shippenville Elk Ambulance, and PennDOT were also dispatched to the scene.
