Thumbnail (20)Thelma L Bickel, 81, of Seneca, passed away at 12:34 p.m. on Friday, September 12th, at UPMC Northwest in Seneca.

Born December 13th, 1932 in Franklin, Thelma was the daughter of the late Melvin J. and Mildred Keith Cratty. She was married to Paul W. Bickel on March 13, 1993, and he survives.

Thelma was a very active member of the Pilgrim Holiness Church in Venus — she played the piano for the church for more than 35 years, and enjoyed singing in the church with her friends.

She was a homemaker and also enjoyed gardening.

In addition to her husband, Thelma is survived by her sons, Edwin Rogers and his wife, Catherine, of Cranberry, and Gerald Rogers and his wife, Linda, of Oil City; her daughter, Phyllis Witmer and her husband, Mark, of Oil City; and her two grandchildren, Cheryl Rogers of Philadelphia and Jayson Rogers of Oil City. Thelma is also survived by her two brothers, Vernon Cratty of Polk, and Wallace Cratty of Canton, OH.

In addition to her parents, Thelma was preceded in death by her first husband, Phillip Rogers.

Family and friends will received at the Gardinier Funeral Home, Inc., on Monday, September 15th from 3 to 7 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at the Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 16th at 11 a.m., with Rev. Joshua Peck, pastor of the Pilgrim Holiness Church in Venus, officiating. Interment will be at Sunset Hill Memorial Garden.
