Venango County Man Allegedly Shows Up Drunk for DUI Hearing

FRANKLIN, Pa. (EYT) — According to Franklin Police Department, yesterday an Oil City man scheduled for a preliminary hearing on a DUI allegedly arrived intoxicated.

Police say around 2:21 p.m. on September 24, it was discovered that 48-year-old Guy Goodwill, Jr., of Oil City, drove to Venango County Courthouse on Elk Street, in Franklin, for a preliminary hearing for a previous DUI while he was intoxicated.

Goy Goodwill, Jr. allegedly admitted to drinking heavily earlier in the day and sleeping for a while then attending his preliminary hearing, according to police.

He was arrested and transported to Franklin Police Department where he was later arraigned on charges of DUI and Public Drunkenness via Judge Snyder’s office.

He was lodged at the Venango County Jail on $5,000.00 Secure Bail.
