PINE CREEK TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) — State Police continue to investigated the cause of the accident that occurred on Tuesday morning on Interstate 80 involving three trucks.

According to police, around 8:00 a.m. on September 23, a propane truck struck a disabled water truck on the roadway between exits 78 and 81.
The propane truck rolled onto its side, and a box truck struck the propane truck, police say.
The box truck burst into flames as a result of the crash, according to police.
One of the drivers was flown by STAT Medevac to UPMC Altoona. No information has been provided on the operator’s condition.
Pine Creek, Brookville, and Warsaw Township Fire Companies and a Hazmat crew were on the scene.
Corsica Volunteer Fire Department shut down the interstate at the Exit 78 on ramp, and motorists were redirected to Route 322 through Brookville which caused heavy traffic backups.
Around 12:45 p.m., a second accident involving a fire was reported on Interstate 80 Eastbound near mile marker 89.
This accident extended the closure of Interstate 80.
Around 12 hours after the first accident, Interstate 80 in Jefferson County reopened.
The cause of the first accident is still under investigation.
No information has been provided on the second accident.
No other details have been released.
