Police Searching for Shippenville Man Following Hit and Run Crash on Route 322

CLARION TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) — Clarion-based State Police say a hit and run crash occurred around 6:06 p.m. on September 23, on State Route 322 westbound, approximately 2/10 mile east of old Route 322, in Clarion Township, Clarion County.

According to police, this crash occurred as a 1993 Ford Explorer was traveling west on State Route 322, and the operator failed to negotiate a left hand curve losing control of the vehicle.

Police say the vehicle traveled across the fog line before striking the guide rail at its 2 o’clock position along the westbound lane then traveled back across the fog line before striking the guide rail along the westbound lane a second time at its 2 o’clock position and coming to a final rest.

The vehicle left approximately 90 feet of skid marks from the point of initial impact to its final resting position, according to police.

Two male individuals then exited the vehicle and ran across the street into the woods, police say.

According to police the vehicle registration came back registered to Matthew Lee Buzikowski of Main Street, Shippenville. Attempts to locate Buzikowski at his residence and around the area of the crash were negative.
