Gerald Allen Twigg, 88 of Reynoldsville, passed away Sunday, September 28, 2014 at Brookside Assisted Living in Brookville.

Mr. Twigg was born May 1, 1926 in Brownsville, a son of the late Gerald and Elmira (Hassett) Twigg.

Gerald is survived by his loving wife Miriam J. (Davies) Twigg of Reynoldsville.

He was a WWII veteran of the US Navy.

He was a member of then John W. Jenks Lodge # 534. He was an avid fly fisherman and hunter. He was a member of the Punxsutawney CMA Church.

In addition to his wife Miriam, he is survived by one son; Dave Twigg of Reynoldsville and one daughter; Eileen J. Brumbaugh of Bridgewater, VA., one sister; Patricia Coolbeth of Mira Loma, CA., four grandchildren; Christopher Edney and wife Trish, Amanda Greenblatt and husband Joshua, Kristen Twigg Prize, Matthew Twigg and wife Briana and thirteen great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by a granddaughter; Melissa Twigg. Friends will be received from 2-4 p.m. Tuesday, September 30, 2014 at the McCabe Funeral Home in Punxsutawney where a funeral service will be held at 4 p.m. with Pastor Scott Pifer officiating.
