WITHERSkarenmarieKaren Marie Withers, 60, a resident of 603 Cornplanter Avenue, Oil City died peacefully at 1:19 AM Thursday, September 25, 2014 in UPMC-Northwest, Seneca; following a period of declining health.

She was born January 30, 1954 in Pittsburgh, a beloved daughter of the late: Elmer and Josephine Mastrato Scholes.

Karen enjoyed her children and grandchildren. She lived her life to see them get enjoyment out of theirs, especially her Blue-eyed Boy.

She is survived by her daughter: Amanda Lovejoy and her husband David of Oil City and by two sons: John Withers and his wife Jill of Raymilton and Gail Withers and his wife Rindy also of Oil City. Also surviving are her grandchildren: Kayla Baker of Vandergrift, David “Bink” Withers, Taylor and Sabrina Lovejoy and Kodie, Kenzie, Kylie and Kwinsey Withers all of Oil City; and her great-granddaughter: Emma Baker also of Vandergrift.

Also surviving is her sister: Candy Maietta of Robinson Township; a nephew: Collin and nieces: Hanna and Angela; in addition to several cousins.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a “special” aunt: Marie Taylor.

In keeping with Karen’s wishes, there will be no public visitation.

A celebration of her life will be planned and announced by her family at a later date.

At the request of her family, memorial contributions may be directed to the funeral home to help defray her funeral expenses.
