Mary Garvey, 66, of Ramseytown, PA, died Monday September 29, 2014 at her home.

Born April 18, 1948 in Port Glasgow, Scotland, UK, she was the daughter of the late Patrick Reid and Cathy Gult Reid.

Mary graduated from St. Frances High School.

On December 4, 1965 she was married to Stanley E. Garvey in Port Glasgow, Scotland. He survives in Ramseytown.

Her occupation was being a mother and housewife. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Port Glasgow, Scotland.

She enjoyed playing solitaire.

Along with her husband she is survived by a son, Daniel “Vicky” Garvey of Brookville, a daughter, Nancy “Michael” Dexler of Lisbon, Maine; four brothers, Frank, Patrick, John, and Thomas Reid, all of Scotland; two sisters, Catherin McGrath and Ellen McLelland, both of Scotland, and two grandchildren.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by a brother, Daniel Reid, and a sister, Betty Reid.

At the family’s request there will be no public visitation.
