CLARION, Pa. (EYT) – Clarion County prosecutors have withdrawn all charges against a 28-year-old Clarion man previously accused of threatening to shoot a 25-year-old man; however charges may be refiled according to the District Attorney’s Office.

Yesterday in Clarion County Central Court, District Attorney Mark Aaron withdrew all charges against Bryan N. Tavel, 28, of Clarion.

Tavel was accused of threatening to shoot a 25-year-old Clarion man during an August 1 dispute along Grand Avenue in Clarion.

He was facing 2 counts of Terroristic Threats with Intent to Terrorize Another, 2 counts of Simple Assault, and 2 counts of Recklessly Endangering Another Person.

According to District Attorney Mark Aaron, the charges were withdrawn after the victim did not appear on time for Tuesday’s preliminary hearing.

Aaron told exploreClarion.com on Wednesday morning that his office “withdrew the charges to preserve the ability to refile in the future.”

It’s unclear if charges will be refiled; however Aaron says he will be meeting with the victim in the coming days.

Tavel is represented by Brookville-based Attorney Robbie Martin Taylor.
