Gov. Corbett to Speak at Clarion County Republican Banquet

CLARION, Pa. – The Clarion County Republican Committee will be hosting their Fall Banquet on Thursday October 23, 2014 at the Loyal Order of Moose, 401 Grand Avenue Ext, Clarion, PA. Social hour begins at 5 p.m.

Governor Tom Corbett will be speaking at 5:30 PM. Tom Corbett was inaugurated as the 46th Governor of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania on January 18th, 2011. In his first year in office, Governor Corbett eliminated a $4 billion budget deficit without raising taxes. Over the course of the past three years, Governor Corbett has created nearly 150,000 jobs and invested more state funding in our schools than any Governor in history.

Guest Speaker is Renee Amoore, Deputy Chairman of the Republican Party of Pennsylvania. Ms. Amoore is founder and president of The Amoore Group, which includes Amoore Health Systems, Inc., 521 Management Group, Inc., and Ramsey Educational and Development Institute, Inc. These companies provide economic development and job creation opportunities, government liaison, marketing and public relations services at both corporate and educational training programs.

An energetic leader, she has been active in many professional and community organizations. They include the NAACP, the American Legion Auxiliary, Negro Business and Professional Women, Martin Luther King, Jr. Association, both Philadelphia and King of Prussia Chambers of Commerce, National Association of Women Business Owners, African American Museum Board of Directors, Drexel University Board of Trustees and Elkins Park Hospital Board of Trustees. She hosts a community service oriented talk radio show on WHAT-FM.
