John T. Best

 title=John T. Best, 68 of 206 S Main St, Seneca, died unexpectedly, Monday, October 6, 2014, at UPMC Northwest in Seneca.

Born March 27, 1946 in Oil City, he was a son of the late Ralph and Esther Barber Best.

John was a 1964 graduate of Oil City High School.

He had worked at Oil Well Supply Company and the Venango Technology Center, and was the Oil City Tennis coach.

John was a member of Good Hope Lutheran Church.

On April 20, 1974 he married the former Debbie Ward, who survives.

In addition to his wife, John is survived by a daughter, Tara Milner and husband Jason of Oil City; a son, Ty Best and wife Amanda of Pittsburgh; and grandchildren, Raegan and Reed Milner.

Also surviving are a sister, Gwen Berry and husband Pete; his mother-in-law, Marie Ward; a brother-in-law, Don Ward and wife Jean; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Morrison Funeral Home on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm.

Funeral services will be held a Good Hope Lutheran Church on Thursday at 1:30 pm.

Interment will be in Grove Hill Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial are suggested to Good Hope Lutheran Church, 800 Moran St, Oil City PA 16301.
