Paul J. Zacherl

Zacherl, Paul J.Paul J. Zacherl, 49, of Seneca passed away unexpectedly at his home on October 7, 2014.

Born on May 24, 1965 in Clarion, PA, he was the son of Mike and Peg Ditz Zacherl.

Paul was a 1983 graduate of North Clarion High School and then went on to receive his Bachelor Degree in Secondary Education Mathematics and his Masters in Mathematics.

On June 1, 1991 he was married to Jodi Urban Zacherl who survives.

Paul was a member of St. Michael Church in Fryburg, PA and also served as an usher.

Mr. Zacherl was a mathematics teacher for 26 years at North Clarion High School. He served as the head baseball coach for North Clarion High School and also coached Cranberry Youth Baseball. He will be remembered for his selflessness, his contagious smile and his willingness to always lend a helping hand.

Paul enjoyed weightlifting and exercising, hunting, farm work, baseball, his many DIY projects, taking care of his many students, attending all his boys sporting events, family walks and spending time with his family.

Weather forecasts and sports statistics were never left out of a conversation with Paul.

Paul is survived by his wife Jodi and their sons Joe, Ryan, and Paul. His mother Peg of Tionesta and his mother and father in law Carol and Joe Urban of Mercer. A brother Tony Zacherl of Sewickley, PA; a sister Barb Beveridge and her husband Tony of Shippenville PA and nieces and nephews Mike, Anthony, Kelly and Wendy; a brother John Zacherl and his wife Diane of Mercer PA and niece and nephew Taylor and Christopher; a sister Sue Beichner and her husband Todd of Shippenville PA and niece and nephews Tyler, Alyssa and Braden; sister-in-law Linda Conger and her husband Jeff of Hudson, OH and niece and nephew Ashley and Josh. He is also survived by many aunt and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his father and an infant nephew Brad Beveridge.

Friends will be received at the Faller Funeral Home, Inc. in Fryburg on Thursday, October 9, 2014 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm.

A parish vigil service will be celebrated at 2:00 pm on Thursday, October 9, 2014 at the funeral home with Rev. D.G. Davis III, Pastor of St. Michael Church.

Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 am Friday,October 10, 2014 at St. Michael Church in Fryburg, with Fr. Matthew (Matt) Ruyechan, pastor of St. Stephen’s Church in Oil City as the celebrant.

Interment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery following the mass.

Memorials in Paul’s honor may be made to North Clarion All Sports Booster Club, or Spartan Strong Man Gym in Seneca, PA.
