Clarion Borough Police Release Details on Two Vehicle vs. Pedestrian Accidents

CLARION, Pa. (EYT) – Clarion Borough Police have released details on two recent vehicle vs. pedestrian accidents.

On Saturday, a 2002 Chevrolet Trailblazer operated by Carol Insalata, of Clarion, struck a pedestrian at the intersection of South Street and South 5th Avenue.

Police say Insalata’s vehicle struck Gaye Collett of Clarion around 3:25 p.m.

Collett was transported to Clarion Hospital for treatment.

Clarion Borough Police Chief Mark Hall said Collett suffered moderate injuries in the accident.

Shippenville Ambulance and Clarion Fire & Hose Company No. 1 also responded to the scene.

Pedestrian Struck on 8th Avenue

Clarion Borough Police say a second pedestrian was struck around 2:05 p.m. on October 9 at the intersection of 8th Avenue and Merle Road.

According to police, a 2009 Chevrolet Malibu operated by Anthony P. Otero, of Seneca, struck Brenda Buzard of Sigel. She was subsequently transported to Clarion Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
