PADENbuddylsrBuddy L. Paden, Sr., 80, a resident of 621 ½ Buffalo Street, Franklin died peacefully at 2 AM Wednesday, October 15, 2014 in his home surrounded by his loving family; following a period of declining health.

He was born October 10, 1934 in Franklin, a beloved son of the late: Jacob and Florence Clinefelter Paden.

Mr. Paden had worked in the construction industry most of his life. He was a longtime supervisor with the Louis Kraft Company of Oil City, retiring from there in 1991. He was a member of the Operating Engineers Local# 66.

His pride and joy was his 1963 Mercury Comet classic car. He was a member of the Oil Region charter of the A.A.C.A. Car Club.

He was very active with computers, and enjoyed repairing them for family and friends.

He was married to the former: Mildred Gayle Gardner of Oakmont, and then married the former: Pauline Proctor Hines on October 27, 1958.

Surviving are his daughters: Cheryl Sperring and her husband Arthur “Bud”of Aliquippa and Kimberly Flick and her husband Jerry of Tionesta and his son: Buddy L. Paden, Jr. and his wife Sheila of Roy, UT. Also surviving are three step-daughters: Gerty Lamberton of Franklin, Linda Douglas and her husband Curt of Oil City and Diana Porter and her husband Mike of Franklin; in addition to 12 grandsons, two granddaughters, 4 great-granddaughters and 2 great-grandsons.

Also surviving are two sisters: Barbara Wilson of Fredonia and Shirley Winkler of Franklin; and his brother: Leland Lavern Paden; in addition to many loving nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers: Kenneth and Paul Paden.

Friends may call Friday 2-4 & 6-8 PM in the Timothy E. Hartle Funeral Home, 1328 Elk Street, Franklin; where funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 11 AM with Arthur “Bud” Sperring, Mr. Paden’s son-in-law, officiating.

Private interment will be in Sunset Hill Memorial Gardens.
