Rodney L. Martz

Rodney L. Martz, 68, of Central Avenue, Brookville, died Tuesday, October 14, 2014, at McKinley Health Center, Brookville.

He was born in Brookville on August 6, 1946, to the late Reed Martz and Irene Caylor Martz, who survives.

On June 12, 1971, in Brookville, he married Lynda Kay Reitz, who survives.

Rodney was a partner for many years in Brookville Equipment Company and retired from Trail-King Industries in Brookville.
He was a founding member of the Ohnahdagon Society, a member of the Hobah Lodge #276 F&AM of Brookville, an active member for many years with the Brookville Area Little League, an adult member with the Boy Scouts of America (Bucktail Council), the commodore of North Fork Yacht Club, and especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Rodney was an avid sportsman who enjoyed fishing, deer hunting and duck hunting.

He is also survived by a daughter, Tara (William) Martz Blake of Brookville; a son, Aaron (Jennifer) Martz (Jennifer) of Gibsonia; a brother, Randal Martz of Sigel; and three grandchildren, Ladd, Ainsley, and Brynn.

Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday, October 17, at McKinney Funeral Home in Brookville. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 18, at the funeral home with the Rev. James Dietrich officiating. Burial will be in Brookville Cemetery.
