The scores of the three sets were 25-19, 25-16, and 25-23 respectively.
“We played great at times but we were also very inconsistent today.” Said head volleyball coach Jennifer Mills after today’s game. Mills also added, “Laura Subject stood out the most, her leadership and decision making really led the team today.”
Laura Subject led the Golden Eagles with 36 set assists, 13 digs, and four kills. The Golden Eagles were led in kills by Taylor Braunagel and Gabrielle Olson who had 10 kills each while Braunagel added four digs as well.
Also for the Golden Eagles, Carlie Bieranowski and Mackenzie Biggs contributed with nine kills each while Bieranowski added 10 digs.
Morgan Seybold led the Golden Eagles with 24 digs, while also adding three set assists. In addition Catherine Ferragonio chipped in with nine digs.
Slippery Rock was led by Leah Jones and Kristy Lake who had 12 kills respectively, Janna Reilly who had 17 set assists and 15 digs, while Kristen C. Smith contributed with 12 digs.
The Golden Eagles return to action in October 21st against Juniata.
