Jeff is survived by his Son Robert Walter Jeffrey of St. Petersburg, and Chautauqua NY, Daughter Lynn Jeffrey of St. Petersburg, his Sister Virginia J, Host of Charlotte NC, and a Niece Mary Barnes of Kirksville MO.

He was preceded in death by his wife Punky earlier this summer.

Jeff was born May 8, 1931 in Oil City PA. He was born to Walter William and Mary Spencer Jeffrey. He was a graduate of Oil City High School, The Hill School in Potts Town PA, and Dartmouth Collage, where he was active in both football, field sports and his Alpha Delta Fraternity.

After Graduation he served in the Korean War before retuning to Oil City where he worked for the First Seneca Bank and Trust Company, for 33 years.

He met Elinor “Punky” Jeffrey and the two were married on December 8, 1962.

They continued their careers while their children Bob and Lynn progressed thru school. During his early years in Oil City he served on numerous boards as well as serving a term on the City Council.

They often traveled together in their plane which Jeff took great pride in his piloting skills. However, their main interest was their home on Chautauqua Lake NY. They spent summers and frequent winter weekends there with family and friends, boating and snowmobiling. Jeff also continued to grow his parent’s real estate business, which his children continue to run.

Jeff and Punky retired to Redington Shores Florida where he was active in his condo association and local politics, serving on the Towns Planning Commission. He was also an avid golfer.

He and Punky developed many deep friendships, and their friends and family were the focus throughout their lives.

He was constantly active in the Episcopal Church both in Oil City and St. Vincent’s Episcopal Church in St. Petersburg. They moved to their present home in St. Petersburg in 1997.

The family requests memorials to a charity of your choice or to the Suncoast Hospice Foundation, 5771 Roosevelt Boulevard, Clearwater FL 33760. A joint memorial service to honor both Jeff and Punky will be held Thursday October 23rd at 11 AM at St. Vincent’s Episcopal Church, 5441 9th Avenue N, by the Reverend John L. Hartnett.
