Thumbnail (22)Wanda C. Boal, 84, formerly of Cooperstown passed away on October 17th, at 6:28 p.m. while residing at The Caring Place in Franklin.

Born in Elk Township, Clarion County, she was the daughter of Lawrence and Florence Licht Eiseman, whom preceded her in death.

She was married in 1949 to the late George F. Boal, III who also preceded her in death. Also preceded in death were her son, Donald E. Boal, son-in-law, Gale Longwell, grandson, Michael Bodien, her brothers, Paul and Reginald Eisenman, a sister, Mary Jo Shaul, brother-in-law, James Shaul, and a daughter-in-law, Diana Boal.

Wanda was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Franklin. She enjoyed her exercise class at the YMCA, volunteering at Polk Center for many years after her retirement as an RSA, her class reunions in Fryburg, bingo, baking, gardening, and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her children, Brian L. Boal and his companion, Janet Furpahs of Cooperstown, Randy G. Boal of Cochranton, Theresa Longwell of Franklin, and Barbara Doyle and her husband, Randy of Utica.

Wanda is also survived by her brother, Albert Eiseman and his wife, Mary, of Sharon, PA; her sisters, Monica Summerville and her husband, Max, of Karns City, and Patricia Bickel of Franklin; and her sisters-in law, Martha Eiseman of Knox, and Carol Eiseman of Seattle.

She is also survived by her grandchildren, Howard Stone of Franklin, James Hinds and wife, Rita, of North Carolina, Tricia Crawford and her husband, Phil, of Oil City, Amanda Boal of Cochranton, Randy Bickel of Townville, Emily Swartz and her husband, Matt, of Franklin, Jessica Crawford and her husband, Billy, of Polk, Wendy Wiggins of Cooperstown, Bill Wiggins of Franklin, Mike Wiggins of Utica, Kevin Wiggins and wife, Ashley, of Franklin, and Cody Doyle of Utica.

Wanda is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Emily Stone of Franklin, Arianna Miller of Cooperstown, and Kristian Hinds of North Carolina, as well as, many step-great-grandchildren.

Family and friends of Wanda will be received from 4 to 7 pm, Monday, October 20th at the Gardinier Funeral Home, Inc., 1315 Chestnut St., Franklin.

Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Tuesday at the Funeral Home, with Rev. David Smith, pastor of the First Church of the Nazarene, officiating. Interment will be in held at the Cooperstown Cemetery.
