Police Calls: Two Crashes Involving Deer

REDBANK TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) — Clarion-based State Police say two accidents involving deer occurred in Redbank Township, Clarion County.

– According to police, around 7:39 p.m. on October 19, 25-year-old Jeffrey P. Meholic, of Wexford, was traveling south on SR 28 in a 2002 Pontiac Bonneville and struck a deer.

Meholic was using a seat belt and was not injured.

– Police say around 6:22 a.m. on October 20, 49-year-old Kevin M. Doverspike, of New Bethlehem, was traveling south on Shannondale Road and a deer entered the roadway in the path of his 2013 Ford Taurus.

The front portion of the car struck the deer.

Doverspike was using a seat belt and was not injured.
