Clarion University SBDC to Host Product Development and Commercialization Forum

CLARION, Pa. – ‘Product Development and Commercialization Forum: From Idea to Invention to Marketplace’ will be held on Wednesday, November 12, 2014, from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Clarion University Small Business Development Center.

This forum will discuss a variety of issues surrounding product development. Presentations will cover various topics, including business and market research, applied research support, product development and feasibility analysis, intellectual property development, and the trials, tribulations, and joys of working within a start-up environment.

Representatives from the NWPA Innovation Support Program, Ben Franklin Technology Partners, Clarion University’s Small Business Development Center, and a variety of private entities will be present.

Registration is free.

Tours of Clarion University’s Innovation Laboratories will be given.

Additionally, there will be an overview of the application process for the NWPA Innovation Support Program’s micro-grant which awards up to $15,000.00.sbdc

D’Silva, Partner, MacDonald, Illig, Jones & Britton LLP; Don Morrison, Chairman of Deal Flow, Blue Tree Angel; Ben Legum, Assistant Professor, Clarion University; and Cynthia Nellis, Assistant Director, Clarion University SBDC;

Additional speakers will discuss a real-world start-up experience.
