BARKEYVILLE BOROUGH, Pa. (EYT) — Franklin-based State Police say a two-vehicle collision occurred around 11:40 a.m. on October 26 on the eastbound exit ramp of I-80 in Barkeyville Borough, Venango County.

According to police, the crash involved Janice Prueitt, 74, of Berwick, and Shannan R. Goheen, 32, of Shippenville.

The collision occurred as Goheen was stopped in a 2014 Ford Focus on the eastbound exit ramp of I-80 at a stop sign, say police.

Police say Prueitt was slowing to stop directly behind Goheen’s vehicle in a 2010 Mercury Milan when her foot slid off of the break and hit the gas pedal; causing her vehicle to strike the rear end of the Ford Focus.

Prueitt and her two passengers — Paul M. Prueitt, 76, of Berwick, and Sherri D. Prueitt, 53, of Dupont — were all uninjured in the crash.

Goheen also escaped injury in the collision.

The Mercury Milan sustained moderate damage and was towed from the scene by Nelson Towing.

Goheen’s Ford Focus sustained minor damage and was able to be driven from the scene, according to police.

Police say Prueitt was cited with a traffic violation for careless driving.
