Betty Jean (Harriger) Neely, age 90, of Glenshaw and formerly of St. Barnabus, passed away on Saturday, October 25, 2014, while under the care of the UPMC — Passavant Hospital in Pittsburgh.
Born September 14, 1924 in Sligo in Clarion County, she was the daughter of the late James Ellison and Dorothy (McKee) Harriger.
She was the wife for 60 years to the late Paul Arnold Neely, who passed away on Sept 3, 2006.
Betty Jean was very involved at her church as a deacon, elder and trustee. She loved reading and flowers.
She is survived by two daughters, Joyce Borland and her husband, Herb, of New Bethlehem, PA and Barbara Ruhle, of Sharpsburg, PA; five grandchildren, Michael Dailey, of Moon Township; Jeremy Dailey, of Summerville, PA; Sarah Marski, of New Castle; Sheri Ruhle, of Brentwood, Gene Ruhle, of Wexford; four great grandchildren, Jennifer Holt, Bryanna Dailey, Katelyn Dailey and Zachary Marski; two sisters in law, Janet Eberhardt, of Pittsburgh and Gertrude Murphy of Waxhaw, NC.
Betty Jean’s family will welcome friends on Monday, October 27 from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Tuesday, October 28 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at the King Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 2841 Woodland Circle in Allison Park.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, October 29, at the Glenshaw Presbyterian Church, 300 Glenn Avenue in Glenshaw.

She will be laid to rest at the Mount Pleasant Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Marshall Township.
