Mahle PhotoMarsha Ann Mahle passed away on October 27, 2014 at the Clarion Hospital. She was 65 years of age.

Born on July 14, 1949 in Grove City, PA, she was the daughter of the late James and Myrtle (Brothers) Hook. In 1971, she married Thomas Mahle. Together they made a home and raised their five children. Thomas preceded her in death in 2005.

For many years, Marsha was a Girl Scout Leader and also enjoyed being a host at the Ridge Campground in Cook Forest State Park; she loved camping.

While her children were in school, she was active as a member of the football and wrestling boosters for Clarion Area High School.

Marsha was also a dedicated lay minister, serving the congregations of Shiloh Presbyterian Church in Miola and Millcreek Presbyterian Church in Fisher.

She adored her grandchildren and was eager and willing to spend time with them and watch them when she could. Marsha also enjoyed knitting and crocheting.

She is survived by her sons, Alan Hook (Stacey Zcap) of Knox, Corey Mahle (Connie Amato-Mahle) of Clarion, Michael Mahle (Leah Martin) of Clarion; her daughters, Rae Vogel (Michael) of Clarion, Amy Mahle of Clarion; eight grandchildren, Ashley Burkhouse, Matthew Slater, Aaron Stephens, Adam Hook, Ryan Hook, Emileigh Mahle, Karlee Mahle, Gage Mahle; and her sister, Wendy Perez of Knox.

Memorial donations may be made to the family to assist with funeral expenses.

Arrangements are under the care of the Goble Funeral Home and Crematory, 330 Wood Street in Clarion, where visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday. An additional visitation will be held at the Shiloh Presbyterian Church, Miola Road, Clarion, on Thursday from 10 to 11 a.m. to be followed by funeral services at 11 a.m. at the church with Rev. Jay Montgomery presiding.

Interment will be private.
