Students are learning about making positive choices and saying “NO” to drugs and alcohol.
Elementary students are also learning about setting goals and reaching those accomplishments by choosing a healthy lifestyle.
During the theme week, the students have special attire days. Monday is Sports “Jersey Day,” Tuesday is “Caps/Hats Day,” Wednesday is “Dress As Your Favorite Celebrity Day,” Thursday is “Camo Day,” and Friday is “Red Clothes and Crazy Socks Day.”
During the kick-off assembly, students in fourth grade presented skits about peer pressure and saying “No” to friends when asked to use drugs or alcohol. Mrs. Olson also discussed the history of Red Ribbon Week.
The special week will conclude with the annual run/walk in the morning and the sock hop after lunch.
