Suspected Cop Killer Frein Taken Into Custody

BUCK HILL FALLS, Pa. (EYT) – Eric Frein, the suspect in the deadly ambush of a Pennsylvania state trooper in September, has been taken into custody, the Pennsylvania State Police announced Thursday night.

31-year-old Eric Frein was arrested Thursday evening after law enforcement received information that he was hiding in an airport hangar near Buck Hill Falls in the Poconos Mountains.

Sources say Frein was taken into custody by U.S. Marshals.

Those sources say Frein was armed, but surrendered without incident.

Frein is accused of having opened fire outside the Blooming Grove State Police barracks on Sept. 12, killing Trooper Bryon Dickson and seriously wounding Trooper Alex Douglass.
