Day, won three of four events over a two-day period to win her award. On Saturday Day was first on 3 meter with a score of 290.25, then was second on 1 meter scoring 412.10, losing to Elizabeth Rawlings of Wayne State by 1.25 points.
On Sunday the Clarion senior came back and defeated Rawlings on 3 meter scoring 301.75 and won by 32.6 points, then won 1 meter scoring 272.80 points.
Divers from Wayne State, West Florida, Chatham and Youngstown State competed in the events.
Day won the NCAA D-II 1 and 3 meter national championships a year ago and is a 6-time All-American heading into her senior year. She was also named a First Team Academic All-American in 2014, the At-Large Academic All-America of the Year and the NCAA D-II Diver of the Year as voted by the CSCAA.
The daughter of Dennis and Susan Day, she has a 4.0 GPA in chemistry with a concentration in Biochemistry.
