Pedestrian Seriously Injured in New Bethlehem Hit-and-Run

NEW BETHLEHEM, Pa. (EYT) – A pedestrian was seriously injured after being struck by a vehicle on Broad Street in New Bethlehem early this morning.

Clarion-based State Police say 50-year-old Leslie Mark Smith, of Fairmount City, was struck by an unknown vehicle sometime between 1:30 a.m. and 2:00 a.m.

Smith was flown to an unknown hospital for treatment of major injuries, according to police.

Police say the investigation is ongoing.
