Isabelle M. Larimer, 85, of 401 Colerain St. Sligo went to be with her Lord and Savior at 3 PM Sunday November 2, 2014 at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh from a sudden heart attack at home.

Born in Sligo, January 22, 1929, she was the daughter of Grover and Lettie Slagle Shoup.

Isabelle was a 1947 graduate of the Sligo High School. She was married November 24, 1950 to W.O. ‘Orvis’ Larimer who died August 25, 2012.

She was a faithful, active, and life-long member of the Sligo United Methodist Church, where she had served as Sunday school superintendent,a choir member, as well as many other functions within the church.

Isabelle was homemaker and also worked 25 years at the former Owens-Illinois Glass Plant in Clarion retiring in 1986.

Isabelle was a wonderful lady who will be missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by 1 daughter and husband; Patti and Mel Bloomfield of Broken Arrow, OK, 1 son; Thomas Larimer of Weirton, WV, 2 grandchildren; Tracy and Shawn Larimer, and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by 3 sisters;Virginia Wiser, Lois Best, Anna Lou Lantelme, and a brother; Keith Shoup.

Isabelle’s family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 PM Wednesday November 5, 2014 at the Varner Funeral Home, 1632 Bald Eagle Sligo, PA 16255.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Thursday November 6, 2014 from the Sligo United Methodist Church with the Rev. Craig Peterson, Pastor, officiating.

Interment will follow in the Grandview Cemetery in Sligo.

The family suggests memorials be made to the Sligo United Methodist Church.
