Driver, Passenger Escape Injuries in Car vs Deer Crash on Route 66

REDBANK TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) — According to Clarion-based State Police, on November 7, a one-car accident involving a deer occurred on State Route 66, 476 feet north of Schoolhouse Road, in Redbank Township, Clarion County.

Police say 65-year-old Janet E. Carlisle, of Verona, was traveling north on SR 66. A deer ran from the west side of the roadway into the travel lane and was impacted by Carlisle’s 2014 Ford Fusion.

Janet Carlisle and a passenger 62-year-old David L. Carlisle, also of Verona, were using seat belts and were not injured.

The car sustained disabling damage.

Limestone Volunteer Fire Department assisted at the scene.
