Member_140062Laura Kahle Morrison, 77, of Big Bend Rd., Emlenton, went to be with the Lord at 8:00 p.m. Thursday, November 06, 2014 while surrounded by her loving family at the Kahle Family Farm in Salem Township, Clarion County.

Mrs. Morrison was born in Coal Township, Venango County, on July 23, 1937. She was the daughter of Joseph and Florence Hartzell Crissman. She had attended the Fellowship Baptist Church in Emlenton, and had been employed for more than twenty years as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Golden Living in Shippenville. Laura enjoyed the company of her family, and most especially her grandchildren and great grand children. She enjoyed crocheting and baking bread and buns.

She was married on October 1, 1954 in Clarion to Charles E. Kahle. He preceded her in death on July 14, 1993.

Laura is survived by her husband, Edward P. “Buss” Morrison, whom she married on September 06, 2008 in Salem Township. Also surviving are three sons, John C. Kahle and his wife, Debra, David L. Kahle, and Daniel J. and his wife, Julie, all of Knox; five daughters, Cynthia S. Chojnacki and her husband, Thom, of Brookville, Laurie A. Whitehill and her husband, Ted, of Knox, Jo Anne McClimans and her husband, Rev. Glenn, of Alberta, Canada, Donna R. Webb and her husband, Dan, of Titusville, and Judy L. Gilliland and her husband, Eric, of Knox; two step children, Bruce Morrison of Knox and Connie Stitzinger and her husband, Paul, of Shippenville; twenty three grandchildren; twenty five great grandchildren; a brother, Joseph “Ed” Crissman and his wife, Jackie, of Warren, OH; two sisters, Margaret Chadman and her husband, Stanley, Pat Cochran and her husband, Ray, all of Newton Falls, OH, as well as a number of nieces, nephews, cousins, brothers–in–law and sisters–in–law.

Laura was preceded in death by two sisters, Jeanetta Dittman and Mary Shettler, and a son–in-law, Robert Fisher.

Friends will be received at the Hile Funeral Home Inc., 1204 Kerr Ave., Emlenton, from 2 — 6 p.m. Sunday. A funeral service will be held from the funeral home at 6:00 p.m. Sunday with the Rev. Arnold Edmondson, pastor of the Newton Falls First Church of God, officiating. Interment will be in Cedarview Memorial Park, Strattanville.
