SCRUBGRASS TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) — Franklin-based State Police say around 1:17 p.m. on November 7, a one-vehicle accident occurred on Emlenton-Clintonville Road (Route 208), 164 feet west of Big Bend Road, in Scrubgrass Township, Venango County.

According to police, 69-year-old C.E. Tanner, of Clintonville, was traveling east on SR 208 and started to slide on the slush covered roadway.

His 2001 Ford F150 pickup traveled across the westbound lane before leaving the road. Then, his pickup struck a tree and came to a rest, police say.

Tanner was not using a seat belt and suffered injuries of unknown severity.

He was transported to UPMC Northwest by a friend, according to police.

The vehicle was removed from the scene by Hovis Towing.
