James CarlsonJames Carlson, 79, of Kennerdell formerly of Eau Claire, passed away Saturday, November 8, 2014 at UPMC Seneca.

Born June 13, 1935 in Eau Claire, he was the son of Clayton P. Carlson and Edna V. Zimmerman Carlson.

Jim graduated from Concord High School in 1954, he was honorable discharged from the Army Reserves in 1962.

Jim retired from PennDot in 1990 after 31 years of employment. He was state construction inspector.

Jim was first married to Janet Carlson, she survives, he later married to Debra J. Carlson on October 1, 1991, she passed away February 5, 2007.

Jim was a past member of the Methodist Church in Eau Claire and is present member of the Church of God in Kennerdell.

He was a member of the Eagles in Franklin.

He loved to watch the Steelers football games.

Jim loved to be with his family and friends. Spending time outdoors working in his yard, going fishing and boating where some of his favorite things to do.

Surviving are his children: Brent J. Carlson of Kennerdell, Lori L. Carlson of Butler, Bruce L. Carlson of Karns City, also survived by 3 grandchildren and 3 step grandchildren., numerous nieces and
nephew also survive. 1 great great grandson and 1 great great grand daughter. 2 step children: Jody Renslow of VA Beach, Scott O’Brien of Ohio.

Proceeded in death by his parents, wife and his brothers and sisters, Duard L. Carlson, Donna L. Carlson, John W. Carlson and Joyce E. Carlson.

Family will receive friends at the Larry E. McKinley Funeral Home, 109 Emlenton Street, Clintonville on Tuesday, November 11, 2014 from noon to 2.

Funeral service will take place at 2 with the Pastor Bobbie Nelson officiating from Kennerdell Church of God.
