Mildred E. Myers, 91, of Woodstock,VA (formerly of Shippenville,PA), passed away Sunday evening, November 9, 2014 at the Consulate of Woodstock.

Born December 17, 1922 in Licking Township, Clarion County, PA, she was the daughter of John and Leora Kline Kunselman.

Mildred graduated in 1940 from the Sligo High School. She married Gerald H. Myers on November 12, 1940, and he died on June 24, 1989.

Mildred was a resident of Clarion County for 72 years, of which she was a homemaker, a member of the Monroe Chapel Methodist Church, near Reidsburg and the former Sligo Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star.

She is survived by 4 daughters; Kay Crawford and her friend Robert Lively of Woodstock, VA., Jeanne Stewart and her friend Gordon Myers of Green Springs, OH., Nancy Harris and her husband Benny of Roscoe, TX., and Beth Myers of Herndon, VA., 11 grandchildren and 14 greatgrandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, Mildred was preceded in death by 2 sisters; Evelyn Love and Lucille Smith.

Mildred’s family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until the time of services at 1 p.m. Friday, at the Varner Funeral Home, 1632 Bald Eagle St. Sligo, PA. The Rev. Carol Brown, pastor of Monroe Chapel Methodist Church will officiate.

Interment will follow in the Mt. Zion Church Hill Cemetery near Sligo.
