Narciso Abeyta

Thumbnail (25)Narciso Abeyta of Franklin, formerly of Casper, Wyoming passed away on November 7, 2014, at 12:55 a.m. at his residence.

Narciso was born July 27, 1935 the son of Demecio Abeyta and Amelia Fresquez in South Carmen County, LeDoux Mora, New Mexico. He married Georgia Rael on August 31, 1967 who survives.

Narciso owned and operated Cecil’s Janitorial Services for many years. In his younger years he was a sheep herder and cattle ranch hand.

Narciso enjoyed hunting, fishing, telling stories and jokes, and loved to laugh. He loved to spend time with his friends, and was a family man. He especially enjoyed watching for wildlife along the river.

In addition to his wife, Narciso is survived by his sons, John Jaure and his partner, Gregg Larson of Franklin, Gilbert and Joseph Abeyta both of Albuquerque, New Mexico, and his daughters, Jeannie Yurkiewicz, and her husband, James of Casper, Wyoming, Glorann Olguin of Albuquerque, N.M., his sisters, Grace Mora, and her husband, Leroy of Leadville, Colorado, and Nellie and her husband, Joe Sanchez of Cheyenne, Wyoming, his brother, Felipe’ Esquibal, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great- grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Narciso was preceded in death by his brothers, Paul and Guillermo Abeyta, and Junior Esquibal, his sisters, Susie Sandaval and Gloria Robinson.

A memorial service will be held at St. John’s Episcopal Church, 1145 Buffalo St., Franklin on Saturday, November 15, 2014 at 10 a.m. with Father Richard Rowe, officiating.

Arrangements are being handled by the Gardinier Funeral Home, Inc., 1315 Chestnut Street, Franklin.
