FARMINGTON TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) — Marienville-based State Police say a Lickingville teen suffered moderate injuries in a one-vehicle crash this morning in Farmington Township, Clarion County.

Police say around 8 a.m., a 17-year-old male was traveling west on Sunny Road and attempting to negotiate a left turn when the right side of his 2000 Chevrolet Blazer dropped off the north shoulder of the roadway onto the berm.

The driver returned the vehicle to the roadway, traveling across the road into the eastbound lane. According to police, the driver then allegedly over-corrected and the vehicle slid clockwise, traveling back across the westbound lane.

Police say the driver left the north side of the roadway and impacted a ditch, causing the vehicle to roll three times. The Blazer rolled northwest into a field and came to a rest right-side up facing east, say police.

The Lickingville teen driver was transported to Clarion Hospital by Shippenville/Elk Ambulance for treatment of moderate injuries.

The driver was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.

Police say the driver was cited with a traffic violation.

PSP Marienville were assisted at the scene by Shippenville/Elk Ambulance, Farmington Township VFD, and Snyder Auto Body.
