James Zuck CroppedJames E. Zuck, 75, of Tionesta passed away November 12, 2014 at UPMC Northwest after a lengthy illness.

Born on February 10, 1939 in Venango County he was the son of Arthur and Lottie Bish Zuck.

He was married on August 22, 1959 to Elizabeth Joan Blauser who preceded him in death on December 31, 1985. He was remarried on August 22,1987 to Dixie L. Tucker and she preceded him in death in 2009.

He was of the Lutheran Faith.

James worked as a truck driver for 42 years. For most of his career he worked for Zuck Coal and Lime and retired from Hennigan Trucking.

James enjoyed farming, hunting, camping, card playing, and working on his old Super H tractor. He was a life time member of the Wolf’s Corners Recreation Association, a prior member of the Oil City Moose, and Fryburg Beagle Club.

He is survived by his children: Peggy Uplinger of Lickingville; Edward Zuck of Tionesta; Robert Zuck and wife Jennifer of Tionesta; Dena Hartzell and husband Jeff of Tionesta; and Laura Davis of Tionesta. His step-children include: Vicky Fratus and husband Gary of Pleasantville; Tammy Nason and husband Chuck of Titusville; Debbie Kiser of Sheffield; and Bruce Kiser and wife Pam of Tionesta. Also surviving are twenty-six grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and a brother Raymond Zuck and his wife Joyce of Tionesta.

He was preceded in death by his step-mother Elsie, a step-son Danny Kiser, and a step-Sister Diane Holowell.

As per his wishes there are to be no public visitations. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Good Shepherd United Methodist Church in Tionesta with Rev. Jonathan Bell pastor serving as celebrant.

Burial will be in the Wolf’s Corner’s Cemetery following the service.
