Police Seek Information on Stolen Gun in Oliver Township

SUMMERVILLE, Pa. (EYT) – State Police in Punxsutawney are investigating the theft of a handgun from a vehicle on Mauk Hill Road in Oliver Township, Jefferson County.

Police say unknown perpetrator(s) entered a Summerville man’s vehicle and unlawfully removed a Taurus .357 handgun. The gun is made of stainless steel and has wood grips.

The incident occurred sometime between 3:00 p.m. on November 6 and 12:45 p.m. on November 7.

Anyone having information about the reported crime is asked to contact Punxsutawney-based State Police at 814-938-0510.

Police say the investigation is ongoing.
