Sligo Man Escapes Injury in Rollover Crash on Route 899

BARNETT TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) — Marienville-based State Police say around 7:45 p.m. on November 13, a one-vehicle accident occurred on State Route 899, 443 feet north of Back Street, in Barnett Township, Forest County.

According to police, 54-year-old Thomas A. Armstrong, of Sligo, was traveling north on SR 899 and lost control of his 2002 Ford Ranger on the wet roadway.

His vehicle struck an embankment just east of SR 899 which caused it to rollover.

He was using a seat belt and was not injured.

He was charged with a traffic violation.
