casper 001Joyce Marie Casper, 75, of 3 Starlight Dr. Oil City, PA. died unexpectedly friday morning in her home.

Born August 8, 1939 in Cleveland, OH., she was the daughter of the late John & Katherine Lembach Kleinhenz.

Joyce graduated from Villa Angela High School in Cleveland., OH.

She was married on Aug. 22, 1964 to William J. Casper and he preceded her in death on June 7, 2008.

Joyce had worked as a teller for many years in Ohio before getting married , was a stay at home mom while she raised her family and had worked at the Bon-Ton in the Cranberry Mall after her kids were grown, retiring in 2001. Joyce was a member of St. Stephen’s Church in Oil City, PA. She enjoyed reading, cross stitch, playing cards, scrapbooking and doing crafts.

Mrs. Casper was actively involved with many events and activities when her children attended Venango Christian High School and had volunteered in the school cafeteria.

She is survived by three children Andy Casper & his wife Sandy of Greensboro, NC, Kevin Casper & his wife Erica of Oil City
Mark Casper of Chesapeake, VA; 5 grandchildren Emily, Ava, Haleigh, Ali and Mark Jr.; 1 brother Ken Kleinhenz of Wickliffe, OH; three sister in laws Pat Popp & Joanne Elliott both of Johnstown, Andrea McCune of El Paso, TX, and many nieces and nephews.

She is also survived by a good friend, Sharon Midage, and by her close-knit group of co-workers from the Bon-Ton.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers Norb, Bud and Jerry Kleinhenz; and a sister-in-law Mary Louise Holupka.

Friends will be received from 5-8P.M. Monday in the Reinsel Funeral Home.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday in St. Stephen’s Church with Fr. Matthew Ruyechan, Pastor, Presiding.

Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
